The Owatonna, MN Cabela's opened in April 1998 and has nearly 185,000 square feet which allows us an opportunity to offer our world famous products and customer service to our great customers who live in Minnesota, as well as the thousands of hunters and anglers who traveling through Minnesota each year. We are located on Interstate 35 and Exit 45 offering a large assortment of mounted fish, birds, and wildlife including a large Africa diorama.
The mountains in Cabela’s are the centerpiece of conservation that opens the store's showroom as a salute to the sportsmen and women who support wildlife conservation. A waterfall tumbles out of the mountain with a swift flowing stream into a pond, with trophy animals in recreations of their distinct habitats. A great way to enjoy our mountain is to challenge the kids to count the animals on the mountain knowing there are around 100 animals including timber wolves, bears, caribou, whitetail deer, moose, and much more.
Our African Diorama features a full-sized African bull elephant complete with tusks including an expansive assortment to African Game animals. The Gun Library has many different eras of guns. Across the store we have freshwater aquariums stocked with fish native to the area.
Come see our Firearms Outfitters to have your scope professionally mounted and bore sighted on your new or used rifle. Also visit our Archery department and get fitted for the perfect compound or crossbow. Our Archery Outfitters will ensure you know how to shoot by taking you to our indoor archery range. This gives you the opportunity to get a feeling for the bow that you want before you walk out the door with it.
While shopping the wide selection of outdoor equipment and gear we carry an assortment of spices, mixes, rubs, and so much more that includes our line of Uncle Buck's. Our conference center can be used by outside companies, organizations, birthdays, and more. Birthday parties get to complete a scavenger hunt as a great way to create memories for those who love the outdoors. To make a reservation, contact our Events Associate.
Traveling in an RV or big rig? We have a large lot that can accommodate over 50 vehicles. Complete with a fresh water fill up station as well as a sanitary septic dump station. Come to our Owatonna Cabela's to experience a family and friendly atmosphere and all of the outdoor gear you will ever need. And yes, we are Dog friendly, too!
