Title: Housekeeper Full and Part Time Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY Clean and supply all daily assigned rooms and report all damage, mechanical deficiencies, suspicious activities or theft in accordance with all housekeeping procedures and standards and safety and security rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations. To include but not limited to: (80%) • Picking up trash. • Changing linen and making the bed. • Cleaning entire bathroom. • Sweeping and dusting guest room. • Cleaning the windows and balcony • Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety and security procedures and regulations. (5%) • Receive assigned section keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Executive Housekeeper. Turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift (5%) • Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction. (5%) • Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in room. (3%) • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed. (2%) • Miscellaneous duties as assigned or directed Knowledge and Skills: • Education:No formal education required. • Experience:Prior housekeeping experience desirable. • Skills and Abilities: • Must be able to communicate in English. • Must have the ability to clean rooms during an eight-hour working day. • Self-starting personality with an even disposition. • Ability to meet standards of appearance. • Can communicate well with guests. Constantly pushing loaded supply cart from room-to-room, carrying tote tray with replacement amenities from department to assigned floor, arranging drapery and replacement linen, carrying dirty linen to laundry shoot, operating vacuum. Bending/Kneeling Describe the type(s) of required bending and/or kneeling to include when, why and how often. Constant bending and kneeling to clean bathroom, vanity and making beds. Dusting requires bending to reach low areas on furniture. Mobility Describe the type(s) of mobility required to include distances and % of time involved. Movement to reach all areas of responsibility to include: closet shelves, windows, ledges, pipes, under beds, behind furniture. Continuous Standing Describe the reasons to include time period and frequency. Continuously standing and/or walking to accomplish all that is required for position. Hotel Maintenance Approx 32 Hours Per Week. 3PM - 11PM. $11 - $14 Per Hour depending on experience. Position purpose: Promote preventative maintenance – in order to keep mechanical items in great working condition. Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public space. Could include painting, repair, cleaning, etc. Drive a positive guest satisfaction culture with sincere hospitality! Exercise and display prompt and courteous proactive service to take care of guests requests. Guest Relations Tasks Greet guests at every opportunity with a friendly, sincere greeting! Exhibit an attitude of attentiveness and anticipation of guests’ needs. Resolve and follow up on guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction through service recovery, ensure that management is communicated with after any potential guest displeasure is cited. Promptly fulfill work orders – coming from both associates and guests. Report to guest services immediately after fulfilling to ensure that we call guest to ensure their satisfaction and to close work order. Specific position skills and abilities Show the ability to proactively and professional speak with guests of all walks of life. Have good basic maintenance skills. Have the ability to run machines such as extractors, billy goats, floor buffers, and power tools. Possess the ability to be self-motivated and work alone. Have a positive attitude!
