With snow in the forecast who’s thankful for their covered garage right about now?!
It's likely we'll get a few more snow showers and storms before the spring, so we thought we’d share some helpful tips for keeping your cars same and sound in snow.

•When you know snow and ice are on the way, lift your windshield wipers up to prevent them from freezing to the windshield. You can also cover your windshield with a blanket or cardboard to prevent snow and ice buildup-simply remove in the morning
•Keep kitty litter in your trunk to use for traction if your wheels get stuck in the snow. If you don’t have kitty litter you can use rubber floor mats from your vehicle
•Park your car facing the sun during the day so the heat from the sun prevents ice buildup
•If your car door lock is frozen, try dabbing a squirt of hand sanitizer on the lock, the alcohol should dissolve the ice
•Put plastic bags over your side mirrors to prevent ice from forming on them overnight. (Secure bags with a clothespin.)
•Have a winter emergency kit stashed in your car that includes: sand, salt, ice scraper, snow shovel, blankets, bottled water, flashlight, small snacks, a first aid kit, and a backup cell phone charger
•Keep your gas tanked filled at least halfway. If there is an emergency, you want to have enough gas to keep the heater on for a while. Plus, if you are in a traffic jam, you won’t have to worry about finding a gas station.
•Remember that speed limits are for DRY ROADS, not wet and slippery ones. Drive slowly and increase your driving distance with the car in front of you when driving in snow

We’ve got another Texan in the house! Meet Chris Bowen, one of our awesome Maintenance Technicians here at Camden Lakeway!
We asked him for a fun fact and learned that he was featured in 2005’s “Who’s Who Among Outstanding Middle School Students”. If you're like us, you're wondering what it takes to get that nomination and are also secretly wishing you had a claim to fame like that one!!
Chris is one of 5 siblings and is a sucker for red bull and anything Star Wars, Comic Book, or Astros related!
Outside of work you’ll find him hiking around Colorado and supporting our awesome local breweries here in the Lakewood/Littleton area.
We’re curious where our Astros fans are at, you loyal Texans need to stick together!!

Hey guys! We want to introduce you to Cameron Powell, our amazing Maintenance Supervisor here at Camden Lakeway!
He is a Colorado native, born in Wheat Ridge and raised in Lakewood, CO.
Off the clock he loves to be outdoors and is usually camping, fishing, off-roading, and photographing nature when he can.
You’ve likely seen him around Camden Lakeway with his three dogs: Bear, Russ, and Lilo. They’re the best!
He is a sucker for taco bell and anything Star Wars related and could talk all day about the different hikes and camping trips he’s been on here in Colorado!

Today’s shout out goes to our awesome Maintenance Technician, Josue Huerta!
A Denver native, you’ll usually find Josue hiking, working on cars, or attending car meets when off the clock. Any other time you can expect him to be kindly schooling the rest of us on car models and their mechanics.
We were curious what 6-year-old Josue wanted to be when he grew up, and learned he dreamt of a professional basketball career as a kid. All we have to say is look out if you try and challenge him to anything car or basketball related, he’ll more than likely have you and the rest of us beat every time.

Today we get to highlight one of Lakeway’s finest, our beloved Assistant Manager, Kevin Andersen!!
Kevin is a true native, born and raised here in Denver, Colorado.
We reached out wanting to know what he wanted to be when he grew up and learned that he dreamt of being an architect as a kid. Today you’ll find him channeling that passion and skillset into complex Lego designs along with transforming his home in holiday décor every year – giving Joanna Gaines a run for her money and reputation as a decorator!
A fun fact about Kevin is he started his career in education as a preschool teacher before launching into customer service and property management.
He is a true Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, James Bond, and Harry Potter fan and could school the average person on their backstories!!

Meet Marcus Jackson, one of our beloved Maintenance Technicians here at Camden Lakeway!
Born in Denver and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, we have a native finally returning to our 360-day schedule of sunshine after the bleak winters of the Midwest
When it comes to fun facts, Marcus can tout going to the same school as baseball legend Derrek Jeter. Anyone think they can top that association to greatness? Anyone….?
Marcus is a huge sports and DC comics fan and knows all there is to know about the marvel universe and his two teams: the LA Chargers and Detroit Lions.

Cristy was born in California and grew up overseas in Budapest, Hungary.

We reached out for a fun fact and learned she is terrified of man-made heights. You'll find her calm and collected on a mountain top or at the edge of cliff, but watch her on an escalator and it’s quite a sight!

A fun fact that many may not know about him is his music ability- a talented musician, Josh attended a DJ producing school in New York and mixes under the name Cognito. Arguably the most popular maintenance technician among our furry friends, along with the newest man to the team, today’s shout out goes to Danny Perez!!
Born and raised in Colorado, Danny has done it all from working on a gas pipeline, to entering the culinary arts as a chef, to launching his career in property management. Through it all Danny has become quite the storyteller, but don’t take our word for it, ask him yourself!
We asked Danny to share a bit about what he was like as a kid and learned that much to his mother’s horror, he spent his first summer income on a BMX bike, a co-cart, and a minibike. It doesn’t take much to imagine the kind of trouble he got into that summer…
A huge Broncos, Star Wars, and superhero fan, Danny has accumulated quite the collection of comic books, figurines, and jerseys.
