We have heard from vets in the area Canine cough is going around as well. If you are taking your pups to the vet make sure to watch them as well as to dog parks, pet stores, or out to play with other pups at home or in the neighborhood.
We have had no known cases at camp and we would like to keep it that way. 😃.

It has been brought to our attention that there has been cases of kennel cough going around specifically at the Grand Ravines Dog Park. We have NOT seen any cases here at our camp, but we ask if you have been to the dog park recently, to please wait 5-7 days before coming to our facility to make sure your dog is healthy. We want to make sure we are protecting the dogs here from getting sick.
Symptoms of kennel cough include but not limited to:
* a cough, hacking, or choking sound
* lethargy
* vomiting
* diarrhea
* lack of appetite
Again, we have not seen any cases of kennel cough from our campers. Just a reminder that the vaccine does not fully guarantee your dog won't get sick. We appreciate you helping keep our campers healthy!

Booker Update:
Pawsident Booker is home with mom and recovering. His amazing surgeon at Blue Pearl was able to remove his thyroid gland and both masses in his abdomen. They performed a liver biopsy and sent masses for pathology as they were concerning in size. It’s likely Booker will need chemotherapy in the coming months but we are focusing on one day at a time right now. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. His surgery was flawless and he should be up and going in a couple weeks.
Update on Booker: He made it through surgery well and is spending the night in the hospital. We will get more of an update from his mom tomorrow once he is home. Thank you all for your support of our man Booker.
Hello Camp Family: You all know Booker our PAWsident! Asking for some positive vibes, thoughts and prayers for this guy tomorrow as he heads in for a pretty big surgery.
From his mom:
Booker was recently diagnosed with Thyroid cancer. He was getting ready to have surgery to have his thyroid gland removed when his oncologist discovered two more masses in his abdomen. On October 14 Booker will be having surgery to have both abdominal masses removed first and then his thyroid gland. After surgery Booker will be having a round of chemotherapy. Prognosis remains good if surgery is successful.
