The next 4-6 weeks is mating season for coyotes. Please do not let your dogs out alone and be aware of your surroundings. Coyotes are also extremely bold predators. Coyote breeding typically peaks in late February and early March, the gestation period averages 58 to 63 days. Male coyotes can become more aggressive during this time of year, the long and short of it all is that coyotes always pose a risk to your dog (and other small pets). That risk increases during mating season.

Williamson County is requesting residents call 512-943-1700 for a current list of available warming stations. Residents are requested to bring their own blankets, food, water, extra clothing, medications, and chargers to the centers.
Tips for Staying Safe:
🥶Many roads in TX-31 are icy due to the extreme weather conditions. Avoid driving if possible.
🥶Do not attempt to heat your home using stoves, grills, or ovens as these could cause carbon monoxide poisoning. Also, do not attempt to stay warm in a running vehicle in a closed garage. The symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning are headache, weakness, dizziness, nausea or vomiting, shortness of breath, confusion, blurred vision and loss of consciousness. Carbon monoxide is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, so if you are experiencing these symptoms, immediately get into fresh air and seek emergency medical care.
🥶Keep space heaters away from other items to avoid potential fire.
🥶Layer clothing and blankets to stay warm. Close blinds and curtains to insulate your home.

On behalf of Cookies, Cupcakes and More we are opening our Tribute honoring two special women in our lives by honoring two Hutto High School Seniors with $250 to be used towards school or personal needs. Our goal is to bless a Hutto High School Senior during this time of uncertainty with this small gesture. We will be taking essay submissions starting February 15th 2021 through April 16th 2021. Winners will be contacted via email by May 3rd 2021, with instructions to receive their check. Submissions must be made through this application only and cannot be emailed or brought into our shop. This Friday is Madalyn's last day at Camp Bow Wow. She's been here since we opened and has been committed to the care of our Campers and Camp Counselors in her 3 years with us. Madalyn started as a Camp Counselor and rapidly escalated to a Shift Lead then Back of House Manager then to Camp Manager. We will miss her dearly but we know that she is going to accomplish great things in her next endeavor which is to be the BEST NEW momma around!
