Campbell’s has been serving the Philadelphia area since 1919. In 1919 Joseph Campbell started hauling items in the Philadelphia area. Joe, with his cart moved furniture, people, fruits & vegetables and military supplies. Joe then bought a truck and continued these services up to the 1930’s when he moved to the Tioga section of Philadelphia and started a family. Joe worked through the war moving ammunition for the War Effort as well as furniture. After the war Mr. Campbell then specialized primarily in household goods moving as while still providing services for the government. In the late 1950’s Joe’s three sons: Joe, Jack, Jim and his daughter May joined the business. In the 1960’s with their rapid response service, the company was contracted to ship supplies and people to help the space race throughout the Northeast. During this time the company relocated to Bucks County, PA where it has served the community since 1964.
