Summary of Position: Maintains a clean and appealing guest room according to policy standard.
Responsibilities of the Room Attendant:
Responsible for cleaning all suites as assigned each day.
Ensure all carpets are vacuumed and spot cleaned if needed.
Dusts all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TV’s and dressers)
Removes fingerprints and smudges (ex: mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc.)
Ensure bathroom areas are thoroughly cleaned, wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.)
Make sure that the room’s standard set-up is complies with brand specifications.
Report all damages found in a room immediately.
Report if any items are missing from a room immediately and report personal guest items found in vacant rooms.
Notify Head Housekeeper of all rollway beds or cribs in rooms for pick-up and storage.
Take responsibility for pass key and make sure it is turned in daily.
Turn in all “lost and found” items to Guest Service Agent immediately for logging in our book and proper placement in lost in found cabinet.
Report to Head housekeeper the following:
No luggage
No Service needed.
Sleep outs
Extra Guests.
Anything Unusual
Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving a cleaned room
Assist housekeepers in any additional cleaning chores that may be assigned.

Summary: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for assisting guests with check-in and check-out, answers and processes all phone calls received, handles all special requests for services or information in accordance with standard policies and procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be flexible and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities of the Guest Service Agent:
Register guests and assign rooms accommodating special request whenever possible
Assist in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations
Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
Understand room status and room status tracking
Know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates
Use promotional selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel
Coordinate room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms
Possess a working knowledge of the reservations department. Take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary
Know the cancelation procedures
File room keys
Know how to use front office equipment
Process guest check-outs.
Post and file all charges to guest, mater, and city ledgers accounts
Follow procedures for issuing and closing safe deposit boxes
Use proper telephone etiquette
Use proper mail, package, and message handling procedures
Read and initial the pass-on log and bulletin board daily. Must know of daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
Attend meetings as required by management
Coordinate guestroom maintenance work with the maintenance department
Report any unusual occurrences or request to the manager or assistant manager
Knows all safety and emergency procedures
Know accident prevention policies
Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
