At Candlewood Suites in Idaho Falls our cheerful Front Desk Agents represent the first point of contact with our amazing guests and handle all stages of the guest’s stay. A typical day as a hotel front desk agent, involves registering/booking guests in and out of their rooms, while accommodating any special requests. If you have attention to detail, are organized, have a strong sense of customer service, and love to spend time interacting with the public, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
•Register & process guests and their assigned rooms
•Communicate with hotel staff on the status of guest rooms
•Resolve guest’s comments, complaints and service requests
•Basic mathematical skills are needed in order to complete payment processing with cash, check, and credit card.
•Maintain a clean and neat front desk area
•Maintain updated information on room availability, reservations and guest messages
•An understanding of hotel Property Management Software (PMS) systems is a plus, but not required
•Ability to complete light maintenance duties if needed
•Complete laundry tasks without restrictions

The willingness to learn IHG cleaning methods and standards. An ability to adapt to different situations and change work processes to accommodate customer needs. An ability to take criticism, good customer service skills, reliability, organizational skills, integrity and honesty, high energy levels. Attention to detail and some customer assistance and service are required. The right person is punctual, thorough but fast, and eager to learn. Most of all, this person can work independently but loves working in teams. Teamwork is a plus. Hours: 9 am-whenever team is finished. Average 30 hrs weekly, 5 days a week. Pay is $10 an hour with added bonuses at 3 & 6 months and every year. Must be available to work weekends and most holidays.
