Job Purpose: To supervise maintenance operations and general maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise, develop and maintain ongoing maintenance operation for a multiple hotels, including the preventative maintenance program, while ensuring quality and safety standards are achieved.
Ensure projects are completed on time according to specifications; establish or adjust work procedures to meet schedules.
Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination of activities.
Analyze problems and formulate plans to accomplish objectives. Procure materials as needed.
Contact contractors to submit bids for construction; present bids and recommendations.
Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist associates in solving problems. Assist in training and instructing engineering associates.
Follow and enforce procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor efficiency of equipment and electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
Interpret specifications, job orders, and company policies to associates and enforce safety regulations.
May assist with other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years building maintenance experience required, with hotel/multi-unit experience preferred. Previous engineering management experience required.
Experience in plumbing, electrical and mechanical is preferred.
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Must have the ability to write routine reports, keep logs, and correspondence and possess the ability to speak effectively with customers and associates.
The ability to deal with internal and external guests with a high level of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
Must be guest service focused and understand expectations of hospitality demands.
Must be able to work flexible schedule, weekends and holidays.
Must possess strength and desire to provide exceptional customer service.
Working knowledge of building systems, including life-safety systems, is preferred for this position.
Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules (i.e. Lockout Tag out, JSA's), safety awareness information (i.e., MSDS) operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
