It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Dr. Lisa Conti. Her long battle with cancer came to an end on Friday, November 6th. Dr. Conti became a member of our CCVH family in August of 1990. She served as a mentor to our staff and had great compassion for her patients. Prior to her passing, Dr. Conti and her family set up the Lisa Conti One Health Endowment Fund at the University of Florida. In addition, she shared a great passion for the National Public Radio, WFSU. Dr. Conti participated in station fundraisers for over 20 years. If you would like to make a contribution in her memory to one of these organizations, please see the links below.

Here are some Pet Safety tips for your pets as we ring in the New Year!
- Make sure your pet gets plenty of physical activity.
One way to ensure that your fur baby will be more relaxed and calm on New Year’s Eve is to tire them out a bit during the day.
- Keep Your Pet Inside. The sound of fireworks and loud party-goers can be terrifying for your pet.
- Keep your pet away from dangerous substances. (i.e: Alcohol, Fireworks, sparklers, Chocolate, Chemicals, Toxic houseplants, Salty snacks, Meat with bones)
- Microchip & update ID tags! When the party is at your house, guests will be going in and out, and the door will open and close a lot throughout the night.
- Comfort your dog or cat as needed.
Just a reminder we are closed New Year's day. Allied will be open. Please call (850) 222.0123 if an emergency should arise!
