X-RAY FRIDAY ANSWER: Jax here swallowed a fish hook! 🎣 His owners brought him to our Wisconsin sister hospital, WVRC, after they suspected that he had gotten one. Radiographs were taken and the fish hook was spotted at the cranial esophagus. Jax was anesthetized and the hook was removed via scope!

Tubby the French Bulldog puppy had an unfortunate accident that resulted in bilateral humorous fractures (both of his front legs!) After his orthopedic surgery, he has been seeing his favorite veterinary team for frequent splint changes which also means fun vet wrap art! Zuma found her forever home as a young puppy. Soon after meeting her new humans she needed to visit her veterinarian, Crossroads Animal Hospital in New Hampshire, quite often to receive all of her puppy vaccines, boosters, and get spayed. Zuma's family did in depth research before getting their first dog and purchased Embrace pet insurance before picking Zuma up on adoption day.
"It costs us less a year to have the insurance plan than it would be to pay for her visits out of pocket," one of Zuma's moms tells us.
Zuma also developed some GI symptoms that lasted several months. She was treated by her primary care doctor as well as visiting Bulger for an Internal Medicine consult.
Zuma's family says the wellness plan add-on that Embrace offers was instrumental in allowing them to attend multiple training classes with her since the wellness plan covers all the costs of those sessions.
