A message from our owners regarding business operations in the midst of COVID-19:
Another load of donations is off to help those fighting the Mullen Fire and those displaced by the Mullen Fire.
We are serving for a drop off point for donations. Donations are planned to be accepted until October 3rd with loads leaving approximately every 2 days.
NOTE: If you prefer contactless donation, just drive through our north drive and tell one of our guys that you have items to donate. We'd be happy to unload while you stay in your vehicle.
Capital Lumber Company is looking to expand our team with the addition of a Class A CDL driver. We are a locally-owned family business located in Cheyenne, Wyoming specializing in lumber and building materials for jobs of all sizes.
Summary:
Full-time CDL driver responsible for delivering and unloading lumber and other building materials. Deliveries will average between 1-150 miles away, with occasional longer loads. Drivers can expect to be home every night.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform commercial vehicle inspection daily
- Check loads for quality and accuracy prior to delivery
- Maintain excellent customer service skills during delivery
- Deliver various loads throughout the day
- Follow safety guidelines set forth by management
Qualifications:
- Maintain a valid driver's license with Class A CDL certification and DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations and Department of Transportation guidelines
- Pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Able to lift 50+ pounds daily

Doors and cabinets headed out to Yellowstone Estates this morning in one of our newest additions to our fleet! Our box truck has made delivering doors, windows, cabinets and other fragile materials safer and faster thanks to the ramp and ability to add extra straps.
Congratulations to all of the builders who participated in the 2020 Parade of Homes! Seeing Cheyenne grow is one of our passions and providing quality building materials to four homes in this year’s Parade was an honor. We cannot wait to see what next year’s homes look like!

The newest addition to our remodel... new aisle signs! These were created from our original aisle signs to keep our history alive.

Our Makita Rep will be here Wednesday, October 7 from 9am-3pm to answer any and all questions regarding Makita tools.
This is where some of the donations that are being dropped off at Capital Lumber are headed! Thank you to Amy Moon for allowing us to play a small role in helping out those working tirelessly to help our beautiful state.
Other donations are being taken to Laramie Interfaith to assist with those displaced by the Mullen Fire along with Laramie Fire Departments to provide items to those fighting the fire. Amy mentioned to us that some personnel are traveling from out of state, often times from warmer climates, so items like socks and gloves are especially helpful.
Amy will be delivering another load to Laramie on Sunday, October 4th. Don't forget that you can bring any and all donations to our store and we offer contactless drop off!

Exciting things are happening as we add to our fleet! Thank you to Floyd's Truck Center Inc. for helping us find a truck suitable to serve our community.
Beginning Monday, November 2nd, masks will be required inside our retail space for all employees and customers pursuant to Public Health Order #10-2020. This will remain in effect until November 30th or the Public Health Order is lifted.
