HVAC Installer
The HVAC Installer Program offers a certificate in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration. Graduates are prepared for entry-level Installer/Apprentice positions, requiring formal education and hands-on experience in the following areas of specialization; i.e. - residential, commercial, industrial. This program offers the training required to meet the hiring needs of HVAC contractors.
Duties of the “HVAC Installer:” include installation and start-up of residential split-system air conditioning equipment, CACs, heat pumps and Puron systems, reading blue prints and specifications, connecting electrical wiring, duct work, and refrigerant lines, brazing/soldering, charging a system with refrigerants and check-out of proper equipment operation. Opportunities for employment in the HVAC field include: Installers, Apprentices, Helpers, Maintenance Technicians and Sheet Metal experts. Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Computerized Accounting
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: This course is intended to prepare students for a range of bookkeeping, record-keeping, tax-preparation and related positions. Graduates may advance into increasingly responsible positions after an initial period of practical training in ledger-entry clerk, payroll processor and invoicing clerk positions in accounting offices and comparable places of work.The program provides the student with a broad knowledge of accounting operations, including basic bookkeeping and computer spreadsheets. It also provides a good background in office operations and extensive "hands-on" experience using current equipment.
Physical Therapy Aide
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: This program provides students with the skills needed to perform the tasks required of the physical therapy aide. Working under the direction of the physical therapist, the physical therapy aide may be employed in home health agencies, nursing homes, hospitals, fitness centers and orthopedic offices. Students learn to efficiently perform the tasks of assisting the physical therapist, including: Maintaining the treatment areaPreparing for each patient’s therapyAssisting the patient’s mobilityAssisting with treatmentOrdering suppliesMaintaining patient recordsPerforming necessary clerical and/or scheduling functions
