Is it critical to get something like this fixed? No. Does the owner feel better now that the emblem is replaced after a carwash incident? Yes.
He didn't want to bother us to install it, but after he found out that rubber membrane needed to be removed, and we used a high-speed polisher to remove all the old adhesive, he was glad we were thorough with our jobs!
At least for your car, WE are that action. So you have no problem!
We have only ever seen one of these in all the cars we have ever serviced, but still think it is an incredibly good idea!
