Due to the increased number of coronavirus cases in our community, in accordance with the new guidelines set by the Department of Health and local regulations:
both patient and physical therapist will have to wear a disposable surgical mask during the treatment (provided by us)
both patient and physical therapist will have to wash their hands (or use hand sanitizers) before and after the treatment
patients are encouraged to be accompanied by somebody only if strictly necessary
patients will be treated one by one, or a distance of at least 10 ft between 2 patients will be maintained during the session if single booking or separate rooms are not available
rooms and equipment will be disinfected after every use
Your safety is our priority!
Dental malocclusion and body posture
Postural problems have been observed in >90% of cases in subjects with some type of malocclusion. In a dental malocclusion such as a crossbite, functional mandibular asymmetry is detected by the Central Nervous System which will generate muscular compensation at different levels. Initially, the change is functional, but if it is maintained, it may be definitive for later bone development.
