About

COVID-19 Update: For all our hardworking friends, we’re happy to now be able to offer three ways of shopping at select Carhartt locations: Social distance shopping, appointment based shopping, and curbside pick-up. Whichever option you’re most comfortable with, you can trust that Carhartt will continue to do everything in our power to serve and protect hardworking people in the safest, fastest, and most efficient ways possible. Welcome back!

In June 2009, after 120 years in business, Carhartt took its first venture into company owned retail stores by opening the Cascade Station store in Portland, Oregon. Located off the freeway near the PDX airport and only steps away from Portland’s light rail MAX station, the Cascade Station store offers easy access to shoppers from many walks of life. We pride ourselves in offering rugged Carhartt gear made for the hardworking men and women of the Portland area with friendly and knowledgeable customer service. Every day we serve our guests needing work clothes for all sorts of jobs ranging from construction to brewing, fishing, pipefitting, utilities, the medical field, and more!

Besides our working men and women, the Cascade Station Carhartt store assists customers of many other pursuits. Being so close to the Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens, Carhartt offers much to the outdoorsman in need of durable clothing. Many local artists frequent our store knowing their clothing will serve them well when working on any of their projects. Travelers from all across the US and countries all over the world stop in our store when they recognize the Carhartt logo and are often impressed with all the products Carhartt has available. Pacific Northwest weather requires gear that will hold up in the rain; Carhartt has that gear to keep Portlanders and all of our patrons warm and dry.

Meet blacksmiths Elizabeth Belz and Anne Bujold, who teamed up earlier this year to compete in The Austin Forging Competition. Prior to taking classes at Penland School of Craft 15 years ago, neither were aware that blacksmithing was still a burgeoning field. But Elizabeth and Anne want you to know that if you’re interested in molding metal to your will as you stand before flames, hammer in hand—you are completely capable of doing so. Meet sisters, pitmasters and Friends of Carhartt Mary & Deborah Jones of Jones BBQ. Their no-frills approach to barbecue is the old fashioned way - early mornings at the smoker, using hickory wood, and judging the meat by eye. Reshared via Crafted in Carhartt: https://bit.ly/3w1Kx6M

We know the legacy of the incredible women who answered the call to action during WWII. Women like 21 year-old Eunice Hancock, pictured here in Carhartt style coveralls, operating a compressed-air grinder in a Midwest aircraft motor plant in 1942. What you may not know is that workers like Eunice were outfitted by another crew of hardworking women—the Carhartt sewing team. Each team served their cause and country, supporting each other from one factory floor to another.
