Carlos Medrano, MD, received his medical degree from the University of Nuevo Leon, in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico in 1974. He completed a residency in Pathology at Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, Texas in 1976. He went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1980.
He completed a fellowship in perinatology and maternal-fetal medicine and ultrasound at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 1982. Dr. Medrano is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Additionally, he is a member of the Harris County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association and The Texas Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Medrano is an instructor and preceptor of obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Medrano is an attending physician at the Woman's Hospital of Texas in Houston, Texas.
