Dental offices can reopen in NYS on June 1

Coronavirus | Broome County
Good afternoon patients and friends,
We at Carman Family Dentistry recognize the unprecedented and extraordinary circumstances we are all faced with today with the spread of this dangerous Coronavirus. The American Dental Association just recently has asked all dental offices in New York to assist the rest of the medical community in trying to reduce the spread of this disease.
In order to do our part, as well as to protect ourselves and our patients, we have decided to close our office on Thursday afternoon for approximately two weeks. This will reduce the risk of exposures as well as free up vital medical supplies (gloves, masks and disinfectants) for the medical community. We will be contacting those of you who have appointments and will continue to be available for emergency dental care.
We apologize to all of you for any inconvenience this may cause but I trust you all understand . Please stay safe. Adhere to the precautions our President and medical experts have suggested and we will all get through these trying times together.

To our treasured friends and patients:
We know many have concerns over the COVID-19 virus and it’s impact on your daily routines. Our office is fortunate that we do not need to change our daily routines because we are already practicing infection control with every patient that walks thru our doors. In order to protect not only our patients but also our amazing staff, we already assume that every patient that sits in our chair may have a communicable disease and we implement safety standards whether you are healthy or sick. The incubation period for most illnesses can be very contagious but yet the patient will not exhibit any symptoms- so we treat everyone as if they are contagious. We are continuing to monitor the CDC and it’s information everyday. We feel confident that we can keep our staff and our patients safe.
