This week's pet spotlight is on one of Dr. Carr's feline regulars. Meet Milo, a beautiful 2 year old male ginger cat that was adopted from a local rescue group. His current occupation is Job Site Foreman for the Miniature Real Estate, Rehab & Construction Group. While being really good at his job, sometimes he can get a little carried away with the demolition side of things and is a well known prankster in regards to his fellow coworkers. His favorite thing about his job? He gets to personally inspect all of the builds and rehabs. Meet Luna Jenkins! Carr Veterinary Hospital's Pet of the Month. This beautiful girl was rescued from a drain last month by the Greensboro Fire Department and one of the GFD officers has decided to adopt her. 🥰 When Luna was found she was very
thin, undernourished and had a broken leg. During her initial visit Dr. Carr tried to repair her fractured leg, but unfortunately due to her debilitated state, it did not heal. Even though she had lost nerve function and use of the leg, she remained very active
and affectionate. Due to the poor prognosis for return of use of the leg, Dr. Carr thought it best to perform an amputation. Before the surgery, she was very active and happy, never missing a beat and after the surgery, without the extra weight, she is even more lively. The number of fleas on animals in the fall has a tendency to double when compared to the spring.
