To the friends and patient's of Carroll Family Medicine, with a heavy heart, I am sorry to announce the passing of my dear friend and colleague Kathy Wesley. She lost her heroic battle to cancer on Sunday, October 18th. Kathy was far more than just a nurse and an office manager. She was one of my closest friends and confidants. From the very first day that I started working as a physician in Hampstead in 1994 I looked to her for advice, reassurance, and moral support. Through all of the phases of my medical career, she stood beside me and quietly steered me, time and time again, in the right direction. With kindness, compassion and humility she shared with me the lives of countless patients. Through the 26 years that I was blessed to work with her she exemplified no less than the highest standards of the nursing profession. She truly loved her work and the people that she served to the very end of her life. Kathy will be sorely missed by me, my wife, the staff at Carroll Family Medicine, her family and all of the patient's that she came in contact with.
