Exciting things are in the works! Carver REEL-TV is a student-run TV station that focuses on the creation of enriching content including Carver news, activities with students, families, or alumni, as well as STEM-based projects. While our students have not been able to actively participate due to the recent covid crisis, we can still celebrate their past work. Watch archived videos on the new Carver REEL-TV Youtube Channel and Subscribe to keep up with new content! Included below is a special episode from 2014 with Mr. George Clemmons, who had been kind enough to sit down for an interview and recount his life & work within the Evansville Community.

As we face these unprecedented times, many tough decisions have been made across our state and across our city. We at Carver Community Organization along with members of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Advisory Council, faced our own difficult decision regarding the annual veteran recognition event. With the health and safety of our veterans, volunteers, staff and community first and foremost in our minds, we made the decision to cancel the 2020 annual recognition event.
However, SWIRCA | Southwestern Indiana Regional Council on Aging will be hosting a drive-thru event. Please call (812) 464-7800 by Tuesday, October 27th to make your reservation. Additional details may be found in the attached flyer.
Check out this fun family event at the Children's Museum of Evansville featuring Bree Williams, who served as a Lead Teacher at Carver's Daycare! We are so proud to see her accomplishments in enlightening younger generations!

This holiday season the Americorps Seniors RSVP program provided a total of 18 food baskets to veterans and veteran families. Seven of these families were adopted by our program, giving them holiday meals, gifts and supplies such as gift wrap, bows and candies. We were able to ensure food security to a total of 79 individuals from a wide range of ages 11 months to 77 years. We are so glad to be a part of this project again this year and making the holidays a little brighter for those in need.
In addition to the dedicated work of our volunteers and Advisory Council, RSVP would also like to extend thanks to our generous contributors who helped make this years' event possible:
Greater Houston Community Foundation, VFW Post 1114 Auxiliary, Indiana Farm Bureau, Evansville Winsupply, Deaconess, Jill Deutsch, Anonymous Donor, Ron Kempf, Gary Ashley, Greg Bagett, and the Massie Family.
