I found this amusing, maybe you will too.
I was inspecting a roof for a homeowner (really nice older lady) who was worried she lost some shingles in our most recent wind event. I inspected the roof and found no damage. I reported this to her and she was excited. It turns out the shingle on her lawn was her neighbors.
Homeowner: How much do I owe you for coming out?
Me: Nothing, I was in the neighborhood.
Homeowner: I want to pay you because I want you to keep coming out when I call.
Me: How about you pay me the price of a hamburger so I can get some dinner:
Homeowner: How much are hamburgers now?
Me: 5 bucks.
Homeowner: Are they that much?
Me: Yes, apparently you haven't been to In and Out burger in a while.
Homeowner: Oh, I never go out.
Me: Well thats about the cost of a burger.
Homeowner: Well, come on in and I will write you a check.
Me: No thanks, we are good. I don't want to risk giving you Covid!
How long will my shingles last? That is a question we get asked all the time. One answer is like a Clint Eastwood quote, "that really depends on how lucky you feel". This barn had a shingle on it that was only designed to last about 20 years and it had been on there considerably more! Don't let your roof look like this!
The second picture is the after picture with a new roof on it.

Even the best products are going to have problems if they are installed over a problem. Casey Roofing Inc. believes in taking the extra steps to do the job right.
Talk about a nutty roof repair! This house had some rotten wood on the eaves and a neighborhood squirrel was really taking advantage of the extra storage space!!
3rd time is the charm! This roof is a special one for us. Our dad, Don Casey Sr. put the original roof on the home back in the 70's. The next generation of roofers (the Casey boys) installed the 2nd layer back in the early 90's. Dad was there but he spent most of his time doing PR work by talking with the home owner on the ground.
Now in 2018, we tore off the previous 2 roofs and installed a new roof. Its fun to work for great homeowners, especially the ones that will hire you 3 times to roof on the same house!
