- Must have reliable transportation

This is a position for someone looking to handle a variety of tasks on any given day. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our business. This role will assist with the performance of continuous preventative maintenance and needed repairs on a wide variety of equipment, including gas / diesel commercial vehicles, construction equipment, concrete cutting saws, generators, and other small tools. In addition, the Mechanic will handle pickups and deliveries of key replacement parts and pieces of equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Pickup parts and equipment required for daily operations and equipment repairs
Deliver and pickup equipment (including skidsteers, etc.) to jobsites as required
Repair equipment and vehicles as needed
Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns (at times in the middle of the night or over the weekend)
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Organize our maintenance shop and monitor inventory levels of key parts, tools and equipment
Communicate effectively with management and field operators to ensure that all vehicles and equipment are in good working order
Operate heavy equipment on jobs when required (Skidsteers, Excavators, etc.)
Assist with post-job cleanup, including pressure washing and vacuuming slurry
Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of equipment that is returned from the field
Requirements:
Capable with diesel and gasoline vehicles (including large heady duty vehicles like dump trucks and roll off trucks)
Experience working with small engines, construction equipment and / or concrete saw and drills (generators, Bobcats, slab saws, etc.)
Experienced and capable with computers, including Microsoft Office and other equipment / maintenance tracking systems
Flexible attitude – able to adapt to new situations and changing priorities quickly
Hard worker and willing to learn
Able to work nights and weekends as needed
Completion of a Mechanic training program / technical school preferred
Clean driver’s license required
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to pass a drug test

Uses levels: site, laser, tansit etc. to set grades on flatwork.
knowledge expertise in using a bull float and finish broom.
Place and finish concrete of any type; trowel, broom exposed.
Patch and finish any type of repair work.
Ability to pull a screed board (single, two-man, vibra-screed).
Runs walk-behind Trowel Machine.
Uses soft-cut saw effectively and safely.
Perform other duties as required
2 or more years' experience with concrete flatwork.
Must have finishing tools.
