WE DID IT, PHILLY, WE DID IT!
We've finally reached the end of what's proven to have been one of the most eventful and trying tax seasons in our 38-year history. We've had to learn a lot, disseminate a ton of new information, and learn how to get our clients to be prepared for a new reality in taxation that is still revealing new and changing information every other day, it seems. But we did it! And we are glad to have done it with all of you!
Today, the office is closed [as we traditionally do not open on the last day of tax season], and WE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL Monday, May 13th. But we'll still be available via FB Messenger, so if any of you out there have any questions, feel free to hit us up and we'll see what we can figure out for you there!
From all of us here at Cavanaughs Tax Service, LLC--Bill, Sue, Brian, Melissa, Theresa, and your favorite social media intern--we want to thank you for yet another great season of work, and are looking forward to moving forward into the extension season, and beyond!
Whoooooo boy, lol.
The Social Media Intern here at Cavanaugh's is taking a much needed break from the crunch time of the Last Week of Tax Season to briefly amply this piece of news from the IRS, which--based on some of the tough conversations we've already been having with taxpayers this season--will be REALLY important for folks to keep their eye on in the next couple of years.
Gone are the days where folks could reliably fill out the W-4 one time, and never think about it again. It will be critical to keep track of your information--especially if you have two jobs, or are a dual-income-earning household--in order to make sure you don't receive a less-than-fun surprise when it comes time to file again in 2020.
Stay tuned for further developments, both on this page and in the news around you. We'll be attempting to keep track of this as best we can, so you won't have to [as much]!
