“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” Barack Obama What can you go out and do today? You may not be the best at it or even good at it and that is fine. Put yourself out there and start to "do" even if you do not believe in yourself. #cbtdbtassociates

How often do you overextend yourself for someone or something that does not belong to you? How many times have you tried to fix something or someone that is not your responsibility? It can be intimidating to set boundaries but boundaries can protect you from unnecessary hurt and disappointment. Consider the jobs you are taking on that are not yours. Maybe it is time to let them go. #wednesdaywisdom #cbtdbtassociates
Reconnect with yourself. Ask yourself questions daily to see how you are doing. What am I most happy about in my life now? What am I most grateful about in my life now? What am I enjoying most in my life right now? Recognize if you are disconnected from your core and your purpose. And then brainstorm what you can do to rebuild connectivity to yourself. #mindfulmonday #cbtdbtassociates
Let this be your reminder to come back to the present moment. Although this year may be one of the most difficult, time goes on and moments fade. Allow yourself to feel the pain, the joys, the emotion in each moment you experience. Moments do not last and you can not bring back time. #mindfulmonday #cbtdbtassociates

In honor of Thanksgiving week, we are practicing gratitude. Specifically, gratitude for our bodies. How often do you connect to your body and say thank you for all that it does? Think about how much your body does in one day- breathe, walk, see, hear, feel, taste, the list goes on. Take a few moments to connect with your breath. Take a few deep breaths, deep inhales and long exhales. Say thank you to your body for allowing you to live the amazing life you do. #mindfulnessmonday #cbtdbtassociates
