Known for his outstanding customer service, exceptional quality of care, and more than 38 years of experience, Jonathan Solan, OD, of Cedar Crest Vision Care, provides prompt, comprehensive optometry services in a family-friendly environment. Patients of all ages from 3 to 103, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding communities, rely on Dr. Solan and his dedicated eye care team for a variety of vision needs, from designer eyeglasses to 24-hour emergency eye care.
A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Solan graduated from Whitehall High School, in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, before attending Pennsylvania State University to earn a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1976. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Solan earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1981. Next, he attended Gesell Institute for Human Development in New Haven, Connecticut, for a program called, “Vision and the School-Age Child.”
After completing his education and training in optometry, Dr. Solan started his Pennsburg, Pennsylvania practice, called Eye Care of the Valley, in 1984. He joined Dr. Steven Blaschak’s practice in 1993, and relocated to its present location in 1997, renaming the practice to Cedar Crest Vision Care. Dr. Solan was awarded his optometric therapeutic license in 1998 and his optometric glaucoma license in 2005.
Today, Dr. Solan continues to provide families in the Allentown area with the highest standard of eye care and a commitment to diagnosing and treating eye health issues, even in emergencies. For a caring, family atmosphere and a knowledgeable optometrist with several decades of experience, patients of all ages continue to rely on Dr. Solan for all their vision needs.
