Center for Allied Health Education (CAHE) is very proud to recognize Christina Steier, MBA, BA, R.T (T), Radiation Therapy Program Director, Sabrina Bragerton-Nasert, BS, R.T. (T), and Taylor Kornegay, BS, R.T. (T), Radiation Therapy Program graduates, on co-authoring an article that was recently published in ASRT’s Fall 2020 Radiation Therapy Journal. The article discusses the etiology of Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC), a rare and aggressive form of skin cancer, its treatment options, and the radiation therapist’s role in treating patients with MCC.
Publishing an article in a professional journal of this caliber is a testament to the successful collaboration between an educator and her students, diligent and hard work, and expert knowledge of the field. Ms. Steier is currently working towards her Doctor of Education degree; Ms. Kornegay and Ms. Bragerton-Nasert graduated CAHE’s Radiation Therapy in 2019, and are currently working as Radiation Therapists at Memorial Sloan Kettering Medical Center and Maimonides Cancer Center, respectively.
We congratulate Ms. Steier, Ms. Kornegay and Ms. Bragerton-Nasert on this tremendous accomplishment, thank them for their contribution to the field of Radiation Therapy, and wish them continuous success in the community of healthcare professionals and scholars.

Happy #ConstitutionDay!
The United States Constitution was signed in Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia on September 17, 1787. The first 10 amendments to the Constitution became known as The Bill of Rights.
Fun Fact: Established on November 26, 1789, the first national "Thanksgiving Day" was originally created as a way of "giving thanks" for the Constitution.

Center for Allied Health Education (CAHE) is proud to share an interview with our Radiography Program Director Isaak Miroshenko, M.A., RT(R)(CT), recently conducted by Elsevier Education. This interview highlights the strategies that Isaak uses to prepare his students for their certification exam, such as the effective use of the HESI exam and various digital tools, as well as provides advice to faculty on how to engage students in active learning and practice for one of the most important exams in their field.
Under Isaak’s direct leadership, and with the efforts of his dedicated team, CAHE’s Radiography Program has accomplished tremendous success in student retention and credentialing exam pass rates. For example, from 2018 to 2019, students achieved a 100% pass rate, 91% retention rate, and a 98% job placement rate.
We thank Isaak for sharing his insights about healthcare education and wish his students continuous academic success in the Program!

This week, all new CAHE students received a new IPad as part of their onboarding package for the academic quarter. Our IT and Student Services departments have been working tirelessly to enable connectivity, answer questions and provide students with information that they need to move forward confidently in their respective programs. We wish our students continued academic success, and as always, we are here to provide help and guidance!
