Kenneth J. D’Ortone, DPM, has been helping patients in Philadelphia permanently banish foot and ankle pain for over 30 years. He specializes in surgery, rehabilitation, and management of all foot and ankle conditions at the Center for Foot and Ankle Excellence.
Dr. D’Ortone believes in partnering with patients. He always spends time listening to concerns and provides information and resources before recommending treatment options. Together, this doctor-patient team works toward long-term solutions for foot, heel, and ankle complications.
An expert surgeon, Dr. D’Ortone has performed more than 2000 podiatric surgeries, and he’s currently part of the surgical staff at Roxborough Memorial Hospital and the Wills Eye Surgical Center. Dr. D’Ortone is certified in minimally invasive and endoscopic surgical techniques, diagnostic ultrasound, internal fixation forefoot surgery, and CO2 laser technique.
Dr. D’Ortone’s interest in medicine grew out of his prior career supporting the health and recovery of individual athletes and sports teams as an athletic trainer and sports therapist.
After he received his doctoral degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University, Dr. D’Ortone completed surgical residencies at both Jefferson Frankford Hospital and Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He received his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. D’Ortone is a Diplomat of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
