Update from Central Island: Presently we are able to allow visitation.
Effective September 17, 2020 new guidelines were established by the NYS DOH regarding visitation rules.
The waiting period to open the facility for visitation after a positive COVID test by either a resident or staff was reduced from 28 days to 14 days.
There is a significant change of rules for all visitors:
Beside passing the screens for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, all visitors must now present a verified negative COVID-19 test result within the past 7 days. Without this written negative test result, the visitor will be refused.
Children under 18 years old may not visit.
We will continue to update with new information.
