Dr. Franklin Gilbert (pictured left) and Dr. Todd Herold (pictured right) of Central Park West Wellness, located in the Upper West Side neighborhood of New York, believe in helping patients help themselves. Dr. Gilbert became a chiropractor after he sustained a series of sports-related and vehicular injuries as a young man. After a long struggle with migraines, neck pain, and weakness in his arms, he discovered a way to become pain-free without surgery or medication: chiropractic care.
“What I loved,” says Dr. Gilbert, “was that it is based on a great respect for the body’s own ability to heal, prevent health issues, and function at a very high, often untapped potential… [It] did not put anything into the body, nor take anything away.” He studied under the renowned chiropractic pioneer Dr. Pasquale J. Cersoli in Brooklyn before opening Central Park West Wellness.
Dr. Herold graduated from New York Chiropractic College and is a member of the New York Chiropractic Council. Along with assisting his patients at one of the busiest practices in New York, he is very committed to public service. He is the Co-Founder and President of the Universal Chiropractic Foundation. This 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization has provided free chiropractic care to more than 15,000 children living in poverty. He is also a co-founder of Chiromission, which funds chiropractic and other solutions to health problems around the world.
