Let's hear it for these Case Manager #HealthcareHeroes at Wyoming Medical Center! “We have a holistic approach to the patient and have the big picture in mind. We are our patient advocates as well as family advocates,” said manager Beth Holscher. “We want what is best for the patient.” Wyoming Medical Center is at Wyoming Medical Center. Yesterday at 2:27 PM · Casper, WY · Thank you to these #HealthCareHeroes, the case managers changed with protecting the social wellbeing of patients in our care. The 15 or so case managers, along with three students, conduct discharge planning, make referrals and transfers to post acute care facilities and help manage any social needs for patients. COVID has made it more difficult to find post-acute care for some patients because of the way COVID has impacted other facilities. Case managers have also seen an increased need for mental health services and substance abuse issues in patients due to the pandemic. Case managers are #HealthCareHeroes because they are the problem solvers for patients in difficult circumstances or navigating a complex healthcare system. “We have a holistic approach to the patient and have the big picture in mind. We are our patient advocates as well as family advocates,” said manager Beth Holscher. “We want what is best for the patient.” #AllInThisTogether #JimmyKimmelLive #HealthCareHero

Many thanks to the Healthcare Heroes at Wyoming Medical Center and Mesa Primary Care for their hard work and long hours, helping to keep our community healthy and safe. We appreciate all you do for us! #CWHPlookforthehelpers Wyoming Medical Center is at Wyoming Medical Center. February 12 at 6:54 PM · Casper, WY · The Mesa Covid Vaccine Clinic wrapped up on Thursday, working through below zero temperatures to administer a total of 5,945 doses in just under two months. Sarah Peak, R.N., gave the first vaccination shot in December and she was the last patient to receive it on Thursday evening. Peak was Clinic Lead and was awarded a "Nurses Call the Shots" wall hanging for her hard work over the course of the vaccination clinic. It was crafted by David Bowar. These clinics were successful thanks to the dedication of people from across Wyoming Medical Center. Thank you to our dynamite vaccination team and volunteers – from the parking lot directors to the schedulers to the medical staff who administers the doses – for your long hours and hard work. Our Campus Review Committee met today to discuss updates for our Kloefkorn Hospice Home. It's important that the people making these decisions treat them as they would in their own home, so the committee is made up of people who work in the Hospice Home, family members of those who have stayed there, and others. We're excited to see what they decide to make this space even better for our patients and their families!
