CGA Law Firm is proud to sponsor the YWCA York's Walk A Mile, which will take place on October 10th from 4- 8 pm! Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is the YWCA’s largest fundraiser. During the event participants walk in high-heeled shoes to start conversations about gender roles and violence against women and girls. They also raise money to help end gender violence. The Walk is scheduled for a date in October each year since October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please consider joining us in this fun and important event. (Sister walkers and children welcome!) You may participate in the in-person event downtown or virtually in another location. Either way, all proceeds raised from this event will benefit the YWCA York, York County's provider of comprehensive services to victims of violence. Former York County Court of Common Pleas Judge John Kennedy will be facilitating a diversity training session for the Bench Bar on Friday, October 23rd. The recent developments in our country have underscored the urgency to address diversity and inclusion. Judge Kennedy is an advocate for equality and will address the topic by first explaining why training is essential. To address these issues head on, Judge Kennedy is initiating the difficult conversations about diversity and the challenges that attorneys and employees face. Where we go - CGA goes. It is easy to identify someone from the CGA legal team as we travel, because we very often have CGA logoed apparel or accessories. Attorney Jack Hartman and his wife, Dr. Julie Drolet, recently visited this iconic location for a last taste of summer. The popcorn and candy store in the background was established in 1926. It moved to its present location, which was an old YMCA building. It was here that the legendary candy store was born. Can anyone guess where this photo was taken?
