Vermont Physical Therapy updated their business hours.
But wait, there's more! We've been busy at #VTPT expanding our offerings to patients. We are very excited to welcome Mindy Cohen, PT, CST, RK to Vermont Physical Therapy. Mindy comes to us with over 20 years of experience in physical therapy. She has vast experience in outpatient and inpatient, most recently coming from an home health setting working with seniors and chronic care management patients. #VTPT is very excited to have an experienced PT who can spearhead our Gait and Balance Training program. Look for more information about this in in the upcoming weeks! When not working with patients, Mindy enjoys a number of outdoor and athletic endeavors, including skiing, biking, swimming and hiking. Click the "Book Now" button at the top of this page to request an appointment with Mindy or give our office a call at (802) 497-0736!
Another warm welcome to #VTPT's new Administrative Assistant, Sarah Miksek! Sarah is new the medical world but eager to learn all she can about what goes on behind the scenes to make offices like Vermont Physical Therapy run smoothly. A recent grad from Southern New Hampshire University, Sarah graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Patients will most often see her in the front office aiding folks with scheduling, billing questions and everything in between. Even our administrative staff are active folks: Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors and can frequently be found hiking, camping and golfing.
As promised, here's one of the new faces of #VTPT! A warm welcome to Zachary Lapoint, DPT. Zach started with us at the beginning of September and is already proving to be a valuable contributor to Vermont Physical Therapy. Zach is recent UVM grad and has a strong interest in orthopedic injuries, specifically post-surgical and sport rehabilitation cases. As with all our therapists, Zach is an active athlete and enjoys playing soccer, hiking and strength training. We live what we do at Vermont Physical Therapy, so if you're interested in a PT with a strong athletic background to help with your sport-related injury, whether you're an hardcore athlete or a weekend warrior, Zach would be the perfect fit! Click the "Book Now" button at the top of the page to request an appointment or call our office at (802) 497-0736.
We at #VTPT are a tight-knit group, so it's always bittersweet when one of our own moves on to new adventures. That said, we always want the best for our staff, so it's with great enthusiasm that we wish Birgit Eckstrom the best of luck in her new venture in Home Health PT. Birgit has been with Vermont Physical Therapy for nearly seven years, starting with the clinic as a new graduate. She has spent her time with #VTPT as one of the cornerstones of our practice, building a loyal patient panel and developing her community outreach in the Burlington area. She has transformed from a fresh-out-of-school hire to a highly valued, skilled and enthusiastic therapist. Birgit will certainly be missed in the clinic, but the staff at #VTPT wishes her every possible success as she moves into this next leg of her career. Birgit's last day with Vermont Physical Therapy will be September 24th. While we could never endeavor to replace Birgit, stay tuned for announcements regarding several new faces to the clinic!
Why You Should Choose #VTPT Reason #6: Our Treatment Paradigm. The term "paradigm" isn't just a $5 word: it means a standard, perspective or set of ideals. It's the basis for how we treat. #VTPT's treatment paradigm is based around one on one care: the use of PTA's and PT Aids is common in the outpatient PT world: these folks are often used to assist the treating therapist and allow multiple patients to be seen at the same time by the same provider. This approach works for a lot of clinics, but #VTPT decided a long time ago that quality, one on one care was the most important thing we could offer our patients. So when you come to us for help, you can be certain YOU are our primary focus.
Happy Halloween from that staff at #VTPT!
#VTPT is very excited to welcome the final addition to our staff for this year, Noah Book, DPT. Noah graduated from UVM with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy after attending Brooklyn College and receiving his B.S in Exercise Science. With a special interest in treating chronic musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and fibromyalgia, Noah is a welcome addition to our skilled team of therapists. When not in the clinic, Noah enjoys running, hiking, yoga, and cooking. Click the "Book Now" button to schedule your initial evaluation with Noah!
It's been a chaotic time for all. #VTPT is still here and bustling. Let us know if you need a dose of self care in these trying times by clicking the "Book Now" button or visiting our website, www.vtphysicaltherapy.com #StayHealthyStaySafe
The staff at #VTPT want to wish all our patients and their families a safe and festive Thanksgiving Holiday. To give our staff a well-deserved break, the office will be closed on Thursday, 11/26 and Friday, 11/27. We will return to normal business hours on Monday, 11/30.
