Our History

For several decades, our flower designers have been a creative force in the Burlington marketplace. From ethereal and organic styles, to bold, lavish bouquets, our signature styles combine technique, texture, movement and balance with a focus of assuring freshness and longevity with natural components.Over the years we have received notable mentions in respected websites, wedding magazines, blogs, newspaper and news media. When "Best of Burlington" was a yearly voting event, Chappell's florist won"Best Florist" Award ten years in a row. It was followed with "Best Flowers" Award from Market Surveys of the Northeast. Always growing, our studio design is a changing style with many of us avid gardeners and decorators. Wedding Design

Vermont Recycles Flowers

Our community service program,Vermont Recycles Flowers is a "good will " branch of Chappell's Florist. Our mission is to recycle donated flowers and event flowers back into the community for the enjoyment of others. Event flowers are fresh flowers that were designed for an event like weddings, conventions, or other business or party functions and then normally discarded. We pick up event flowers, redesign them and deliver to local nursing homes, non-profits, hospitals, churches, Vermont respite house, Hope Lodge, schools, libraries and assisted living facilities. We accept vases and baskets for the program at Chappell's florist. We can be reached at recycleflowers@yahoo.com.

Kellie Moreman August 7 at 9:27 PM · Over the past week at work I’ve been keenly aware of the toll CoVid19 is having on people’s personal lives, their loved ones... 🌸A husband caring for the kids at home while his wife works under increasing stress at the hospital. He’s giving her flowers to show his respect and love. 🌼A first time grandmother whose grandson arrived unexpectedly a month early, and CoVid precautions are keeping her from being with them. 🌺A mother who is congratulating and celebrating her daughter and son-in-law on buying the home they love, but who knows when she can visit it. 🌻A son whose 95 year old father is recovering from a fall, in a nursing home, with no visitors, but he loves flowers. So many birthdays separated from loved ones; so many last minute micro weddings; so many elders without family visits; so many milestones and life events without the big celebrations. People often say about my job that “it must be fun to play with flowers all day”. It’s so much more than that. We listen to our customers, they allow us into the special events in their lives, they trust us to express their love through the floral design they’ve chosen. It’s an awesome responsibility and privilege to connect loved ones through the work of our hands. 😷
