Charles L. Fishman, MD, FACP, FCCP, is a pulmonologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester and an assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center. He has more than 25 years experience in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with a focus on lung cancer and airways disease.
Dr. Fishman is board certified in pulmonary disease medicine and internal medicine, and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians, and a member of the American Thoracic Society and the Bronx County Medical Society. He has contributed to research in the field of pulmonology for publications, including Proccedings, American Society of Clinical Oncology and Annals of Oncology.
Dr. Fishman graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, where he was named chief resident in his final year. He went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care medicine at New York University Medical Center. Prior to joining NewYork-Presbyterian, Dr. Fishman was an attending pulmonologist at Montefiore Medical Center and served as co-director of pulmonary consult service at the Wakefield campus.
