Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his Master of Science in Biology from George Washington University. He then attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He did his general surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University and his plastic surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical Graduate School of Medicine. Following residency, he did his Fellowship in hand surgery at the Hand Rehabilitation Center at Thomas Jefferson University. According to Dr. Smith, “Good plastic surgery isn’t seen. I want my patients to look so good and natural that nobody knows. I get the greatest joy from helping people improve the way they look and feel. And it never ceases to amaze me how much the physical improvement affects a person’s state of mind.”
