Excess weight can reduce your pet’s life expectancy by more than two years. Keeping your pet at a healthy weight lowers his/her risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, respiratory disease, kidney disease, and some forms of cancer.

Thousands of votes later and we have the winner of our calendar cover contest: Kevin Bacon! Thank you for showing such overwhelming support for the animals in our hospital's 2021 calendar. We appreciate the time you took to read their stories and to cast your vote!
Kevin is a two-year-old potbellied pig who visited Cornell’s large animal emergency service with bladder issues resulting from blockages and a displaced cystostomy tube requiring emergency surgery. After surgery and other treatments, Kevin was able to return home to finish his recovery.
