Our patients, their families and our employee’s safety and health is our number one priority. Our office follows the ADA and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines to prevent the spread of any illness/infection in a dental setting. This includes; social distancing, curbside check-in, dental appointments spread out and taking temperatures of anyone who walks into our building. These precautions help ensure that patients feel comfortable visiting our office for their dental appointment. We stand behind the ADA’s statement made yesterday disagreeing with the World Health Organization (WHO) that non-essential dental care should be delayed. Cherry Lane Kids Dentistry updated their business hours.
It’s National Oral Health month
and we are talking about
plaque! In our last post
we went over how plaque
feels on our teeth 🦷, but
now we want to go over
what happens if we don’t
jump right on it.
Plaque contributes to dental decay, as bacteria like
to consume the sugars in
your mouth and chip away
at your tooth enamel.
When plaque starts to
build up it can hurt your
teeth. That’s why we emphasize regular cleaning
at home and coming in for
regular check-ups! Make
sure you have your kiddo’s
next dental check-up
scheduled here cherrylanekidsdentistry.com
Let’s talk
plaque!! 🦷🧼
Plaque is a sticky, colorless film of bacteria
that lives on the surface
of your teeth and along
the gumline. It accumulates from normal daily
activities such as eating
and drinking, especially if
you’ve been consuming a
lot of sugars and starches.
Woah, that’s a whole definition! Have you ever had
that fuzzy feeling on your
teeth that goes away after
you give them a good
brush? Yup,that’s plaque!
(Tune back in to our page
later this month to learn
Did you
have to miss out on a dental appointment because
of COVID-19? Well you
can fix that right now by
using our online scheduler
to get something on the
books for your kiddo this
month! https://www.cherrylanekidsdentistry.com/
PLAQUE
TIP #1:
We’ve been talking a lot
about plaque this month
and here is our first tip for
keeping it away: “Brush
thoroughly with fluoride
toothpaste at least twice
a day.”
Simple as that! Once in
the morning and once at
night. We will be sharing
two more tips, so make
sure to check back in a
few days for the next one

PLAQUE
TIP #3
“Visit us for your regular
dental cleanings.”
This one happens just
twice a year, but it helps
our team catch any
problems before they get
out of hand! Our team of
hygienists and dentists are
ready to check your kiddo’s teeth and make sure
they are healthy. Schedule
that appointment today at: cherrylanekidsdentistry.com

TIP #2
Now this tip is a biggie
for us and we love to tell
people when they come to
our office: “Floss at least
once a day, preferably before bed to remove plaque
that your toothbrush can’t
reach.”
Flossing is so important to
your dental health and in
removing plaque!
It’s the end
of October🍂! And so too,
the end of National Oral
Hygiene month. But but
but –– that doesn’t mean
the end of practicing those
tips and tricks we gave
you for managing plaque
build up. For the rest of
the year let’s keep our
teeth clean and healthy
by:
Brushing twice a day
Flossing once a day
Visiting your dentist
twice a year

The American Dental Association is sharing information about National Diabetes Month as it relates to one’s oral health. Did you know that “untreated diabetes can take a toll on your mouth? Untreated diabetes can cause: Less saliva, higher risk of cavities, inflamed gums, and more infections inside of your mouth.
Don’t worry, there are solutions to help with this! Check out our page later this month and we will go over what you can do and how we can help!
Our second healthy snack recommendation that’s perfect for this time of year is a veggie tray with a fun turkey layout! Here are 3 oral health-related things you can do to for optimal wellness from the American Dental Association: “Control your blood sugar levels.
