Founded in 1996 as Chesapean Kayak Tours, we developed a reputation as one of the area's best kayak touring companies for dolphin watching off the coastline of Virginia Beach. Now, a solid 18 years later, not only do we specialize in guided eco-tours, but we offer a variety of outdoor activities that guarantee adventure and fun for all!
Chesapean is, hands down, the most flexible and accommodating adventure company in the Hampton Roads area. We are unique in several ways that make us different from our competitors. Because of our close operating proximity to the oceanfront and the state park, we are not limited to a set tour schedule and we only require a two person minimum whereas all other companies require six or more. Additionally, we do not require you to book your tour weeks in advance (although it is suggested because we do fill up quickly during peak season). Chesapean is also the most experienced company conducting our specialty dolphin tours. We are the only company that runs them 7 days a week during the season, as we have done for the past 15 years.
