Located within the Mary and Dick Allen Diabetes Center, the CHOC Children’s Endocrine and Diabetes Center includes the diagnosis, treatment and management of pediatric diabetes and endocrine disorders. Services provided for children, teenagers and their families include the diagnosis, treatment and management of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and endocrine disorders (growth, thyroid, adrenal and pubertal.) In addition, we offer onsite diabetes education from diabetes nurse educators and dieticians — and an insulin pump program. Also located in the Mary and Dick Allen Diabetes Center, the PADRE (Pediatric Adolescent Diabetes Research and Education) Foundation works collaboratively with CHOC to teach diabetes classes and participate in support groups. They serve hundreds of families in Orange County through a variety of fund-raising, education and advocacy activities.
