Amer Zaheer, MD, at Choice Family Medicine in Houston is a board-certified practitioner who specializes in internal medicine and preventive cardiology. In addition to being fluent in English, Dr. Zaheer also speaks Arabic, Urdu, and Punjabi.
Dr. Zaheer received his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1990. From there, he completed his residency and internship at the District of Columbia General Hospital in Washington, D.C., in 1994 and 1995, respectively. He then completed another residency at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island in 1996 and a fellowship in preventive cardiology at Harvard Medical School in 1997.
