For nearly 27 years, Chop and Wok served up the tastiest most authentic Chinese food in Scottsdale. Now housed off the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard, Chop and Wok (and the accompanying Wok Star Bar) is now reopened after a kitchen fire in 2011 shut them down for 2 years.
Now Chop and Woks is back and better than ever! Chop and Wok's loyal patrons celebrated the news of their opening and new location across the street from the last establishment. The new digs sport a large take out desk in the rear entrance, a square bar serving 31 beers on tap, cocktail tables, the infamous Orange Sunshine shots, s sizable kitchen with see-through windows, a front patio on Scottsdale Road, and plenty of rock n' roll memorabilia giving the place a heavy dose of personality.
Led by front man Jamie Mather- the blond, spiked hair, punk-rock-looking dude often found behind the bar- and owners Stacy Ledoux and Steven McFarlane. Chop and Wok is all about having a good time, good banter, friendly patrons, a casual and fun atmosphere, lively entertainment, and the best Chinese food east of San Fran's Chinatown.
The menu at Chop and Wok, like most authentic Chinese restaurants is chock-full of Chinese favorites, including appetizers, soups, salads, noodle dishes, fried rice bowls, chop suey plates, and enough chicken, pork, beef, strip, and vegetable plates to make your head spin.
At Chop and Wok the food is amazing, the price it's hard to beat, add in the atmosphere and it will easily be one of your favorite restaurants/bars in the Valley!
