Sometimes it helps to shift our perspective, even slightly. What we have been doing is comfortable, but not necessarily effective. People are full of life and strength and vigor; and they are the primary architects for their happiness. Things that happen to us that aren't our fault, and we still have to resolve them anyway. Counseling can help make the perspective shift, and uncover the life, strength and vigor in all of us.
Struggling with substance use? Recovery is a gift that takes ongoing self examination, and honesty to maintain. Are your emotions in control of you? DBT can help you use the information that emotions provide without automatically following through the negative behaviors they may suggest.
Intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in 2011, Christina has extensive experience providing individual and group DBT treatment and has trained over 150 therapists in DBT. Christina provides individual DBT treatment. DBT treatment is most effective and comprehensive when a client is also enrolled at a DBT skills group concurrent to therapy.
Currently Christina has appointments Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. She accepts Mainecare, Medicare, and most private insurance.
Have a nice day!
