Dr. Isacson is a gynecologic pathologist with an interest in teaching and women’s health issues. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology from Carleton College and completed her Medical Degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Post-graduate training included an internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan Medical Center, residency in Anatomic Pathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a two-year fellowship in Gynecologic Pathology at Johns Hopkins Hospital with Dr. Robert J. Kurman.In 1996, Dr. Isacson joined the faculty of Weill Medical College of Cornell University where her research interests included HPV-related disease and diagnostic immunohistochemistry. In 2000, she moved to Seattle where she has worked at Virginia Mason Medical Center and CellNetix Pathology.
