Today marks the 199th birthday of Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman to obtain a medical degree in the United States in 1849. She championed the participation of women in the medical profession and ultimately opened her own medical college for women. Join us in celebrating her achievements and the more than 60 female physicians including clinicians, hospitalists and residents who are an integral part of
Infirmary Health along with the many, many others caring for patients across our community.
The Infirmary Health COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center is now scheduling appointments for the following individuals:
🔹 Healthcare workers
🔹 First Responders
🔹 75+
If you fall in one of the above categories, call 251-341-2819, Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., to schedule your appointment.
Please do not attempt to call the phone number if you are not eligible for an appointment. We are experiencing large call volumes, and your patience is appreciated.
At this time, Infirmary Surgical Specialists does NOT have the COVID-19 vaccination. As it becomes available to us, patients will be notified of their eligibility.
Community members age 75 and older and first responders can contact the Infirmary Health COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center for an appointment beginning Monday, January 18. Please do not attempt to call the phone number if you are not eligible for an appointment. We anticipate large call volumes, and your patience is appreciated.
Vaccination appointments are available at Mobile Infirmary, Thomas Hospital and North Baldwin Infirmary.
