Christopher G. Katcherian, MD, is a board-certified hand, wrist, and microsurgeon with a passion for providing individualized care with a personal touch. Through his practice at Christopher G. Katcherian, MD Surgery of the Hand and Wrist, Dr. Katcherian is honored to serve the communities of Irvine and Los Alamitos, California.
Dr. Katcherian offers a unique combination of time-honored personal service with state-of-the-art technical excellence. He strives to deliver the same person-to-person care available from hometown physicians of decades past. At the same time, he embraces the latest technological advancements to guide all aspects of patient care.
Education has always played a central role in Dr. Katcherian’s life. He began his journey as an undergraduate at the University of California, Irvine. He then moved East to complete medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla.
Dr. Katcherian refined his skills and knowledge through a surgical residency at Mount Sinai and Cabrini Medical Center. The next step was fellowship training in orthopedic hand, wrist, and microsurgery at Columbia University in New York City.
That dedication to lifelong learning continues, and Dr. Katcherian is always searching for opportunities to learn something new he can bring to his practice. That passion for excellence inspires the rest of his team to seek out their own training resources.
Dr. Katcherian’s areas of specialty include microsurgery, soft tissue repair, and procedures involving the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow. He has the expertise needed for everything from simple wound repair to complex surgical reconstruction.
In appreciation of his unrushed manner and professionalism, many of Dr. Katcherian’s patients introduce their friends and loved ones to the practice if the need arises. Even in today’s digital world with ever-increasing online connections, word-of-mouth referrals remain a critical part of any successful medical practice.
When not in the office, you’ll find Dr. Katcherian enjoying time with his wife and their two children.
