Dr. Wilson made quite the journey to Reno. He moved nearly 3,000 miles to join the Institute. He completed his cardiology fellowship training at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. and earned a PhD in cardiac metabolism, devoting much of his education and training to understanding how diabetes and obesity impact heart muscle, and how he can help patients benefit from newer, individualized therapies to achieve heart health.
