That visitor is a single individual to visit during the hospitalization and will NOT be changed during the stay. CHRISTUS Ochsner St. Patrick Hospital is open and fully operational. At this time, the following units/areas are available to provide treatment and services to patients:
• Emergency Room
• All inpatient units
• ICU/CCU
• Behavioral Health Services
• Cath Lab
• Radiation Oncology
• Emergent Surgery
• Dialysis
• All support services including lab, pharmacy and other auxiliary services.
At this time at CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital, the following units/areas are open and available to provide treatment and services to patients:
• Labor and Delivery
• NICU
• All support services to Labor and Delivery and the NICU, including lab, pharmacy and other auxiliary services.
• Infusion Center
• MRI
• Mammography

It’s been a difficult time for the folks around Lake Charles. We’ve all encountered different degrees of loss from the storm, but we’ve managed to get through this experience together. With more power returning every day, and watching how incredibly hard the linemen have worked the past 17 days, we can start to feel hope for what’s next. I gathered up some drone footage over the past couple weeks and felt like it was time today to put it all together. Thank you to everyone who has helped our area, particularly all the linemen, it’s really been inspiring.

Today, CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital ended a yearlong 35th anniversary celebration by honoring Associates with a blessing by Father Brian King, treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes and fun with Party Pics. We also had special sashes to honor those Associates who have worked at the hospital since the beginning. We thank them, along with our other Associates and physicians, for 35 years of exceptional care. Of course, none of this is possible without our patients and the wonderful SWLA community. We thank you for choosing us and trusting us to care for you and your family! ✝️

Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Luke, who is called by Paul “the beloved physician” and is the patron saint of physicians and surgeons.
We are pleased to announce the reopening of Emergency Services at the CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital!
The hospital suffered considerable damage to the Emergency Department during Hurricane Laura, forcing leaders to temporarily suspend services at this facility. Our Associates and Physicians are now prepared to provide safe, convenient, and efficient care when you need it most.
