CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels is proud to be the only hospital in Texas to establish a chapter of the Nurses Honor Guard. This volunteer group honors their colleagues at the end of life’s journey by performing the Nightingale Tribute at their memorial service, officially releasing them from their nursing duties.

In a year that has been hard for so many, our community continues to give what they can where they can. In 2020 New Braunfels Moms have donated 34,416 meals for babies through our partnership with Mothers' Milk Bank Austin 🤱! That breaks down to 129 donations equaling 11,472 ounces from 10 pre-screened donors!

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa New Braunfels Emergency Department would like to congratulate Patti Tuey, EMT-P for being awarded as the 2020 Employee of the Year from Victoria Emergency Associates.
Patti started in the medical field in 1990, taking a Master Fitness Course in the military. She has worked in many different areas of the hospital, with the majority being in emergency medicine. In 2004, Patti received her paramedic license. Her peers can’t thank her enough for her hard work, great attitude and extensive knowledge in all things emergency medicine!
When asked what her favorite part about being a healthcare worker is, Patti states, ” I fell in love with the amazing way the human body works. It is great when you see someone sick turn around and get better!”
We are blessed to have such a great paramedic serving the community at CHRISTUS Santa Hospital Rosa New Braunfels! Congratulations on your award Patti!
Seeds of Love Outreach knows how to encourage our Associates and we could not be more grateful! Through thoughtful words in cards and colorful crayon drawings, this local non-profit supports our community by showing love, support, and prayer wherever it is needed!
Clinical Director, Rachelle Curtis, says "We absolutely love our community and our patients and cannot express enough how much this encouragement has meant to the team. We have created a binder that we put all these cards in and it’s so nice to just open it up and be reminded that what we are doing matters so much to so many!"
With our sights set on the future, we celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the creation of CHRISTUS Health. This day is an opportunity to reflect on all we have accomplished as a ministry and to reaffirm our commitment to One CHRISTUS.
