Have you heard of WINN feline foundation? WINN is a non-profit organization solely dedicated to improving feline health by providing grants to veterinary researchers to study diseases such as FIP, diabetes, heart disease and lymphoma. As veterinarians, we practice evidence-based medicine, meaning we rely on clinical studies to guide our recommendations for your furry friends. Unfortunately, there is a dearth of studies on cats but WINN is turning that around! Thanks to WINN grants we now have a lot more information to help us treat our feline patients. They have a wealth of information on their website for pet parents as well. Good morning! I am thrilled to introduce myself and to thank you for allowing me into your community. My name is Dr. Kathleen Kuperman and I am so excited to be the new associate veterinarian here at Civic Feline Clinic. I am a native of Sarasota, Florida and, after earning a bachelor's degree in Biopsychology at Tufts University, I obtained my doctorate in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State in 2019. The following year I enjoyed a rotating specialty internship in San Francisco which exposed me to surgery, internal medicine and dermatology, among other services. During that time I also fell in love with California and the Bay Area. I've always been attracted to feline medicine and felt that my career should begin as I hope it will end- helping cats live longer, happier, healthier lives. Civic Feline Clinic is the perfect marriage of my newfound love of the Bay Area and my lifelong passion for our feline friends. I am especially interested in pain management and geriatric care. I currently live in the City with my two black cats, Lennie and Olive. In my spare time I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts, reading, drawing, sculpting with polymer clay, and gardening. I can't wait to start traveling more extensively through California and to discover all it has to offer. I look forward to meeting you and your companions soon. If you would like to schedule a wellness visit for your companion or he or she has a medical need, please call the hospital at 925-930-9226 or visit our website at www.civicfeline.com to schedule an online appointment. Again, I am excited to meet you and your friend! Warmly, Kathleen Kuperman, DVM CIVICFELINE.COM www.civicfeline.com
Dear Civic Feline Clinic Family, We are excited to introduce our new veterinarian Dr. Kathleen Kuperman! Dr. Kuperman joins us this month bringing a trove of knowledge to Civic Feline Clinic along with her. She graduated from the Ohio State University in 2019 before attending a rotating specialty internship in which she worked and learned alongside surgeons, internists, neurologists, dermatologists and criticalists. Furthermore, Dr. Kuperman volunteered her veterinary expertise to under-served populations in the Bay Area through Veterinary Street Outreach Services and the San Francisco SPCA Community Cares Program. We look forward to her contributions to our own community! Obviously Dr. Kuperman is passionate about feline medicine, particularly pain management and geriatric care. She is available for appointments to help both old and new patients in the next few weeks. Please call the hospital at 925-930-9226 or visit our website at www.civicfelineclinic.com and click on the "book appointment" banner to schedule online. We can't wait for her to meet all of you. Welcome Dr. Kuperman! The doctors and staff of Civic Feline Clinic CIVICFELINECLINIC.COM Homepage | Civic Feline Clinic
Civic Feline Clinic is SO proud to announce that our colleague Joseph has been admitted to UC Davis veterinary School! As an undergraduate student at UCD, earning a B.S. in Animal Science, Joseph began working with us as he concluded his studies and applied to veterinary school. We have been fortunate to have him and were excited to support his application to veterinary school. There are few opportunities that motivate us as much as a future veterinarian. We are confident that Joseph will perpetuate the community and preventative medicine values that form the cornerstone of our practice. Please join us in our enthusiastic congratulations for one of our own who will be advancing our mission and values moving forward. CONGRATULATIONS JOSEPH! Remember CFC. The CFC Community
Earl would like to wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day!
